45 Caliber Rifles - The Marline Camp Carbine was introduced in 1985 and enjoyed considerable success until it was discontinued in 1999. There are two versions: One uses the .1111 ACP. Of course Colt and other manufacturers have offered 9mm cartridges based on the AR-15 platform.
A few years ago, pistol caliber carbines first became popular. The IDPA, ISPC, and USPSA have all added pistol-caliber carbon classes to their official sports.
45 Caliber Rifles
Launched in December 2017, the Ruger PC (pistol caliber) carbine has proven to be the most popular.

The receiver is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy with a Picatinny-style rail and a Type III hard shell. Like the Model A Ford, you can have it in any color as long as it's black. The camera and dark brown model shown here are for resellers only, though they aren't hard to find.
The 16.12-inch barrel is cold-forged chrome-plated steel with a 1:10 twist. Although the bottle has a heavy rim, the five flutes help reduce weight which translates into quick handling. These ports are threaded into devices (including printers). Includes a protective cap.
An adjustable rear ghost ring sight, combined with a shielded blade front sight, provides a fast and accurate sighting system.
The glass-filled nylon butt features a proprietary pistol grip area and forefoot design for true control. The sliding attachment points are on the back of the stock.

The socks are covered with soft rubber buttons and have three 1/2-inch openings for a variety of looks, outfits, gear, and more.
The Ruger PC Carbine comes from the factory. Danny switched the charging handle to the left.
The PC Carbine simply locks the bolt back, pushes the trigger lever forward, and twists the sub-assembly and folds for storage or transport.
The PC Carbine uses Ruger SR series or Safety-9 magazines, although the SR series is released from a compartment on the front of the mag, while the Safety-9 is released from the side. Smart.
The Thompson Submachine Gun, The Gun That Made The Twenties
Moving forward, Roger realized that the most popular handgun was still the Glock, and incorporated a magazine well that would accept the Glock magazine. Changing the mag spring can easily be done in less than five minutes. Ruger USA Pistol magazine wells are available at ShopRuger.com.
The magazine release and charging handle are retractable. The carbon has a charging handle on the right side, but I switch it to the left so I can keep the drive while charging the carbon.
This carbine features a barrel, SR-series 17-round magazine, hex dowel for backsight adjustment, buttplate adjustment and charging handle removal, and forced weapon lock.
I went to mine with a few of the following: SR series, Safety-9, Glock 19 OEM, PMAG 15 round and PMAG 17 round magazines. To further measure reliability, I took several different makes and models of 9mm Luger cartridges.

I shot carbon with full magazines, mixing different types of rounds among the mags to see who preferred a particular type. They didn't.
Carbon accepts magazines from (left to right) Ruger SR9, Ruger Security-9, Glock and (not pictured) Ruger USA Pistol.
Shooting from 25 yards, the B8 bursting through the gap from the repair center was too common and too much. I had a lot of fun throwing the adults' spilled drink cups into the air and bouncing them into the air, then repeating the process after they landed. Sometimes—okay, twice—I got a second hit before landing.
A friend who was accompanying me, after seeing me without several Ruger magazines, said it was too bad that Carbon doesn't accept his Glock magic. Grab my coffee!
Big Bore Airguns That Are Powerful Enough To Take Big Game
After a quick change of magazine wells I gave him the carbon and he put in one of his G17 Wizards. After firing the Ruger PC Carbine, he finally stopped smiling and said, "I could have one of those!" said.
If the above isn't enough to make you sit up and take notice, the PC Carbine's retail price represents $649.00, and I've seen them on sale for $550.00. The gun I keep is a long gun that can fire every shot. Centerfire rifle calibers provide greater kinetic energy than any rimfire, but are quieter and often do not require a suppressor. .45 ACP. They have enough power to kill deer-sized game in short order and are capable of self-defense, while also presenting a more menacing look than the military-caliber EBR (Evil Black Rifle) so as not to "scare the locals."
.38 Special and .45 ACP are very effective for this purpose because they are loaded with powder quickly and have a barrel length of only 5-6 inches. The standard 158-gr. Lead bullets in .38 Special loads are about 150 f.p. Compare a 4-inch rotary machine with a 20-inch lever action. The increased velocity in .45 ACP comes from firing the rifle from a longer barrel, combined with a very large bore retention area, which greatly increases bore drag, which negates the effects of adiabatic expansion, so there is little or no increase in velocity. vs. shot. A similar weapon is the M1911 pistol. Muzzle-exit pressure is so low that the report is comparable to the .22 LR standard bullet velocity from a rifle or barrel longer than 20 inches. The velocity of any common .45 ACP ammo is silent when fired. I'm not trying to see how fast I can carry a gun. Because a backup specialist that can't be used on weapons defeats the purpose of "weapon ammo". The combination of axle weight, fit and low noise is both fun and efficient.
About 25 years ago, Wayne Schwartz restored the 1894 Marlin in .44 Magnum. I let Wayne pull me out of the gun when I left Roger and regretted it, so I had another shot. This time I took the .45 Colt Cowboy II and sent it to John Taylor. Holds 12 rounds in magazine tube, finished with 22-1/2" bore, 39" overall, weighs 6 lbs. 12 oz.

I use this tool mostly with Saeco #954 230-gr. Lead FN Cowboy slugs and 5 gr. Bullseye has about 1000 f.p. gunner, vs. 830 on the M1911 pistol and about 800 fps. In my S&W Model 625 revolver. Considering the low powder and fast powder used in the .45 ACP, you'll only get mediocre results if you run it longer than the chamber will allow (20,000 cups max).
The .45 ACP Marlin isn't exactly as good as my best loads in the .357 lever, but it serves my original purpose as a fun camp rifle and sniper. Shooting iron sights, I get 1-1/2 "groups" at 25 yards, and they are flat at 100 yards. I zeroed the rifle, above the front sight at 50 yards, and below the sight when I sighted in. Clear the target at 100. Groups reach about 100 yards like the M1911 solid rifle, but should be easier to gong with the focus and longer sights. There are 12 "gong" rings at best at 200 yards each time. The flight time of the arrow was too long and the arrow "Ding!" As he heard the report of the bullet hitting the metal, it was as if Schweitzen's shot had bounced off his leg. Hammer every time.
One of my favorite travel guns is a Beretta Model 412 folding pistol with .45 ACP, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum and .410 rifled barrels.
Shooting .45 ACP in a 26-inch rifle is a satisfying "flower", which you can watch and listen to in the video at this link:
Review Of Rossi Stainless 45 Colt Lever Action
The chart below is compiled from my shooting notes over 25 years. The Mk.IV Webley was originally in .455 and was chambered in .45 ACP in the 1960s using moon phases. The S&W 625 is a 1989 custom shop rifle. The M1911A1 was the 1967 National Competition Pistol, a Marlin rebuild of the 1894 Cowboy, originally chambered in .45 Colt, with a modified barrel and chambered in .45 ACP, with a modified lift and trigger.
